Copyright Letter to record label

Last lesson we were asked to write a letter to the record label of the song that we chose to use for our music video as part of permission to use their song. When uploading the video to Youtube we made sure to note in the comment section that we intended not to infringe any copyright on the song used. Alicia and I spent a long time looking for the record company "interscope" email address but we couldn't find it. However, I did find a private message way of communicating with them on faceook so I sent a message to them which they should receive.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Catherine Stacey and I am a student at Rainham School For girls. For part of my media coursework this year, one task was to produce a music video and I have chosen to create one for The Black Eyed Peas song 'Where is the love'.

As I understand it, this is owned by Interscope. If you have any concerns about my using of this song for my studies , please don't hesitate to contact me. I appreciate that this is a very large company, however, and that responding to individual correspondence is a time-consuming task, so if I don't hear from you, I will presume that Interscope is happy for me to use this song.

Yours Faithfully,
Catherine Stacey
